Freyja had a single doe kid in 2021 that was sold. One of those I was kicking myself a bit for letting go, so when given the opportunity to buy this girl back we were very excited! We have several half paternal sisters in the herd, but another daughter of War Paint is always welcome. She is line bred closely on Old Mountain Farm Cernunnos as Paint it Black is a paternal brother to Freyja. Maiden is a deep and wide doe with the same elegant style her dam has. Unfortunately she came home underconditioned and had not been milked or handled and it has taken some effort to get her back into milking condition. 2025 came around and she is always one of the first on the milk stand, although still a bit fussy if milking takes too long. She has surpassed Freyja for daily volume and we are excited to see her finally filling out after being just a bit too thin for so long.
