Freyja had a single doe kid in 2021 that was sold. One of those I was kicking myself a bit for letting go, so when given the opportunity to buy this girl back we were very excited! We have several half paternal sisters in the herd, but another daughter of War Paint is always welcome. She is line bred closely on Old Mountain Farm Cernunnos as Paint it Black is a paternal brother to Freyja. Maiden is a deep and wide doe with the same elegant style her dam has.
Maiden freshened last year as a 2yr old. She dam raised her kids and was left fuzzy so we don’t have any nice pictures yet. She is bred for February kidding in 2024. It will be good to get a little weight on her, get her used to the milk stand and maybe take her to a show this summer.
